Inked

How I love the smell of carpet cleaner in the morning!  Hank (the destroyer) decided that it was a good idea to eat an ink pen this morning...on the carpet in our bedroom.  Not only did he get it all over the carpet, but he just happened to get it all over his huge paws.  So, I have a fun trail of massive black paw prints to clean up all over the house this morning. 

What can I say?  He's just adorable.

         

It was gloomy weekend here in Hampstead, so we made the best of it and relaxed.  J left this morning for 10 days on ship.  I dropped him off this morning at 5am.  He gets promoted today to 1st Lieutenant!  Congrats babe!!

Oh Friday, You've Come!

Indeed, it's Friday, friends, and don't we all deserve it?!

The house inspector just came by and was literally here for 3 minutes.  That's my kind of house inspector!  Although, I don't think he fully appreciated how clean the house was.  I really wanted him to gush about the clean counters in the bathroom.  They are just so sparkly.  Oh well. 

This weekend I plan on going to dinner and a movie, doing my taxes (yuck!), and relaxing.  I'm also excited for the Tudors premiere on Sunday.  Have you watched it?

Oh my, it's been a long day.  Work has picked up (and it was up already!) and my spring titles are officially off and running.  I thought I would end the day with a few links for you.

To Richmond and Back

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend.  J and I traveled north to Richmond to spend a few days with his family.  We ate fun meals and toured around the city.  Such a pretty place - full of culture and red brick.  Love that combo.

I love Thursdays because it means tomorrow is Friday.  We're heading up to Richmond for the weekend, which should be fun.  I like that town.

This Morning

This week is off to a productive start.  I have lots of books coming out soon, so work is starting to get busy.  We also find out fall title assignments today - which is my favorite day each season because you get to see what you'll be working on in the coming year.  Fun stuff, hopefully!

         

         

         

(the new IKEA couches.  we love them - especially the weave of the dark brown fabric.  we're going for a modern look in the living room.  the room will be such fun when it's done.  slowly but surely...)
